Instead of reflecting our love for our country,

we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib

and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.

Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes:

It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States

thus minimizing consequent support,

and it is intended to discourage American citizens.

Well the Markham Family has some great news!! We signed a contract on a house on Saturday!!! WOOHOO!! They are going to start building it in the next month and hopefully we will close around July 1st! Very exciting! Much bigger house and most importantly we will own it! I will try and post pictures of the progress on here!

Jackson got to meet Santa and he thought he was a pretty cool guy. I was so proud he went right to him and started babbling. It was like he knew exactly what he was there for. No screaming no OMG this is the scariest thing I have ever done. The boy makes the Momma proud!! Well here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Well Jackson is walking... well he has been for a little while I just have not taken the pictures to prove it!! He loves being independent and thinks he is something else when he walks across the room!! He is so fun to watch.

Well I happened upon this site becasue it was at the top of my gmail. littledemocrats.net It was at first disturbing to see a book about this and then hoped that my son never got his hands on it. Of course I would like to read it so I can see what they think a democrat is because I have my opinion and I would not mind seeing what this author thinks. Of course I would probably still be disturbed but I would try to go in to it with an open mind. And then I decided that I needed to write a book called Why Mommy and Daddy are not democrates or Why Mommy and Daddy are Rebuplicans. (Of course there might be one.) But then I decided we don't need a book about that my kid will be raised the way we think he should and with good moral standards and then he can decide what he wants to be on his own. But with that in my I don't want him to be labled by a politcal party I just want him to have good and solid morals. Of course by the time he is at voting age there probably won't be democrates and republicans. Seeing that in the past political parties have changed. That is why we have yellow dog democrates.
Oh and I wish people would stop bad mouthing the president and the war in Iraq. Gosh dern think of something else to dwell on!! It's happening and it is not going to magically stop by us belly aching. Ok....
Oh and another thing... What about Daddy?????

He is ONE!! Jackson will be officially One at 2:17 pm!! I can't believe I am a Momma to a one year old! Cole and I went to research park and I took his one year old pictures. I must admit I have the cutest baby in the world. I am partial but it is true!! Being a Mom is great !! Jackson has been a really easy baby, but I probably should not take credit for that because he is a lot like his Daddy.. easy going and just plain fun to be around! I also am not one of those Mom's that lost a lot of sleep because he was sleeping through the night at 1 month! Which is also like his Daddy... a good sleeper! He just a great kid and I look forward to many more years of fun and adventure! Here are some pictures enjoy!

Goodness I love this boy!

Well I put Jackson in the nursery for the first time to attend a Beth Moore Bible Study! Which was absolutly amazing and has already touched me in several ways. And if you here of one being offered I strongly recommend you be the first to sign up. This all being said after only one week of her Bible Study "Breaking Free."
So I cried a little after leaving Jackson in the nursery but he did wonderfully and the ladies loved him! The sad part is he got sick. The next day he started running a temperature and not eating. His temp got up to 102.2! Yikes! He is doing better but we are waiting for him to get back to his normal happy go lucky self. It is frustrating that the first time I put him in there he get sick. Why could it not have been like the 2nd or 3rd time WHY the first. I know it is good because it builds up there immunites, but goodness it is hard on the Momma!!

Did not get to watch the Aggies BTHO Army last night had to suffer and listen to it on the radio. My blood pressure was at an unhealthy level and I could only imagine what it would have been if I was watching it on tv or for that matter actually being there. It is the most intense game I have listened to on the radio for sure!!

So I watched Five Years How Safe Are We? It was a special on CBS that Katie Couric did. It talked about terrorism, 9-11, and other things like it. I mainly wanted to watch it to see the interview with the President. One of the things he said that caught my attention was, "we are safer but we are not safe." It made me think, what if all the antiwar people got there way? Some how I think we would not be able to say we are safer. I know in a perfect world there would be no war, but there would also not be people that we would have to protect ourselves from. I think this war is necessary and Bush is trying to make that clear to a bunch of people that will not listen! I would really like to know what President Bush's critics would like to do to make us safer. I am worried that some liberal will be elected to the Presidency next term and put all the good things Bush had done (YES he has done good things) to waste. That makes me think of Kinky, (shutter) it worries me that people think he would be a good governor. My dog Boss would do a better job! That was random but it came to mind when I was thinking of the next presidential election. I know it would be nice to not have war but face it there is no other way when it comes to protecting our country!
